I would advise K5 owners to photograph a uniform white surface at f22, or higher.

Thanks for the comments. I do have a version of the Millenium Bridge without tourist boat but I kind of liked the version with the boat as one of these passed by every minute, so that was just what it was like. My intention was to take some shameless tourist shots just to try out the camera and lens.

I'm aware of the verticals and that's something I can't sort out at the moment. I didn't really post these shots for their artistic merit, but for what really impressed me. The Westminster tube shot was handheld on a moving escalator. Leadenhall was a quick handheld snap too. This is a seriously good camera.

Apologies, but I only get to visit London once every few years now and I wanted to play with the new K5 (), so why not. Photos between 100 and 3200 ISO with the 18-55WR. They are just RAW to JPEG camera conversions and I need to do them properly later on, so there is plenty of wonkiness, etc

Excellent. There's be proud of that stuff in Sweden. I like the first best with the splashes of colour through the blizzard (untoned down version).

I like the dog walkers in colour. However, I might be tempted to crop out the top two cms with the bright sun.

Damn you. I have more mundane things to spend my meagre funds on than a K5. But.............

Does anyone else get fed up with seeing these type of competitions and galleries awash with HDR?

Very good, especially the close-ups. I like remembrance and particularly berries, which I thought were crab apples.

I am about to receive a new K7 as a replacement for a faulty K7 that replaced a faulty K20 (!)

I figure that if I sold this on new then the cost to upgrade to a K5 after selling off kit lenses would be around £300. The main temptation for me is the higher ISO performance of the K5.

Do K5 owners consider a K5 to be £300 better than a new K7?
