There's some potential for some fantastic shots there. The night shot falls between two stalls for me, I think both a high ISO short exposure (10-30 seconds depending upon conditions)and a low ISO longer exposure for star trails would work better. I'd also try and make much more of a feature of the telescope in the foreground. I look forward to seeing some results.

Thanks all. The little shop is next to the other little shop, I liked the wee clothes rack.

The cathedral interior was my handheld test shot but then I mucked up my tripod mounted efforts. It's 1/5th second so the shake reduction did well.

Here's the context of the third, taken some weeks ago, to the left is a 15th century chapel. The shutters to the right are just faded white (probably, as I am pretty colour blind):

It's difficult to use natural light so effectively. I like the sparkle in the eyes.

Really good series (serieses). The first of each are superb.

I had to visit Limoges again yesterday. I like photography, it turned my 30 minute walk back to the station into four hours. I've used the Lightroom 300 preset which I discovered yesterday from the Venice thread on some of these (warning some converging verticals):

Couldn't agree more. I can see a few more of these in the PPG. I prefer 1 over 11 as well.

I have the 50-135 but I think my choice for portraits would be between that and the 77.

Nothing in the archives, but I'm on the hunt for something, regardless of merit.

Good subject, good selection of images, good winners. Sorry about your news Geordie.
