Bit of both. The 16-45mm was my walkabout lens, but hasn't been used much since I purchased the 12-24. The K 35mm f3.5 has now become the walkabout lens and a great lens it is too. The 50-135 is excellent but reserved for planned shoots as otherwise the K35, M50 and DFA 100 macro go in tha bag. I have the 55-300 for the long end. If budget wasn't a consideration I'd go for the DA*200 and DA*300, but the 55-300 is very good and I'd have to have a lot of spare money to justify replacing it. I prefer using prime, but zooms will do until I win the lottery. Actually I've had a lot of wine and I don't really know what I'm talking about. I need every single lens, they are all necessary.

The last image is a corker Coker, I like the corkscrew trees.

The towns and villages in our area of France are small, usually possess an amazing church, and are run down with barely-making-a-living, faded establishments, plenty of closed down ones and tatty dwellings. Here are some vignettes from last week. I've applied a look which appeals to my sense of color, but I'm colour blind so I've no idea if it works:

Impressively vertiginous. I really like the second. The third one does my head in a bit.

I like the first and third best. I agree about offsetting them a little (apart from the hare).

Lovely expansive views but they don't look natural enough for my tastes, I find them a little harsh.

Great idea for a shot, but I'm not keen on the foreground green blur, especially the bottom right corner. I wonder how it would look with the headstones slightly less out of focus.

I read leggy blondes from recent activity and came her with high hopes. Never mind, 1 just pips 2 for me. Very nice.

I have the Innov8 as the spare, a halfway house between the Pentax original and a cheap gawd knows what. The Innov8 isn't as good as the original but it suits my needs. I figure SRS wouldn't sell them if they they were a risk to the equipment.

Nice shots and my kind of titles, I might rethink horse for the last one though. 1 for me.
