also with every bridge camera having a flip out viewfinder....Pentax would likely have added that in....unless...it needed the space for the kmount...

if those buttons were sourced of a k20, then this thing is tiny, it is smaller than the ds2.

The lack of a hot shoe and the inclusion of a "macro" button makes me think this is more likely to be a bridge camera than an interchangeable lens one. Still, PMA this week so all should be revealed soon enough...
hotshoe irrelevent if it has both p-ttl wireless and manual flash control, or a pc socket and p-ttl wireless...

notice the very squared off lcd on the back though....makes a square sensor likely...

fingers crossed for a kmount and high-def video capture...
I'll buy one immediately....

what you don't see is the telltale rocker switch arount the shutter releas of a zoom control if it is a bridge camera.
the macro button may be for image stabilizing, and possibly cropped focussing on the lcd panel for assisting in macro shots...

What do I do to take a high key photograph?

As I understand it so far I need:

Good overall lighting not strong directional lighting
Avoid deep shadows
Exposure - that's a bit I definitely don't get. Do I basically over expose but then the whites will blow out which I don't want. I want a delicate touch.

I have found techniques in PS that will assist in creating a high key effect but I suspect that's not the same as shooting high key.

All advice welcomed!

to get a high key (eg white) background looking good without causing lensflare you need to have it about 2 stops brighter than your subject.

To shoot white subjects (eg white clothes) you want the light to be directional and not coming from the front.

skin can be slightly over exposed, but should be able to recover detial from RAW file in post.

one simple set-up might entail:
white seamless paper background.
two lights with umbrellas (softboxes better) aimed hit background....
two large reflectors (eg styrofoam sheets or white painted bifold doors) on either side of subject.
gobos where needed to control flare.

exposure set to over expose subjects skin a half stop.

another method, is to place subject in shadow, with large bright (sky) background, use reflectors on subject expose to slightly over expose skin (1/2 stop or less overexposure on skin)

anybody here interested in going through thier junk drawers to offer up old/seldom used gear to help out other financially strapped photo enthusiasts along with thier hobby?
I'd hope anybody that offers/recieves anything (for postage more or less) would on thier honor, not resell items for profit, but rather pay it forward to others or donate it to kids wanting to learn photography.

to kick the ball off..
I have a 70-200 tak, in good condition to give away. pm me if interested.
