Not really sure why some of these are listed and some others are not. For instance, why the K20 and not the K10? Why no Contax? Why is the Argos C3 in twice?

I do have seven of them.

Running a film through now. I will get that processed at the weekend.

Thing is, although the controls are different it feels very like the k5 and I keep looking for the screen to see what I've taken!

Camera arrived in good order. Very happy with the camera and thanks for the film!

Thanks for a very easy transaction Jon.

Bob.

When I started with the DSLR I found the green settings good. Just concentrate on the view and push the button! What could be easier.

Soon after I wanted to get more control and try different things out. If I wasn't sure how to get what I wanted I would, eventually, read the instruction book! This way I learned how to use the camera(still learning really).

Some people do like checklists but not for me. Too much like hard work.

The essence of adventure is the uncertainty of the outcome. I like an adventure!

Have you tried a brick wall and bean bag? I also have an old cement mixer in the garden that supports the bean bag well.

I wonder if the problem lies with the fact that the attachment of the camera/lens is only small. The tripod offers a stable contact with the ground but then the camera/lens can move on a small point at the top, where it is attached to the tripod. Using a bean bag you support a much larger area of the camera/lens and this stops any movement better.

Get a viewfinder and you don't need the monitor, save battery life and I like it better.

The Pentax one is a bit expensive but there are lots of old ones around that do a reasonable job. I have an old Braun Paxette one that is ok. It covers a range of focal lengths. I also have a Yashyca one that is quite nice. There was a discussion on the forum a little while back with lots of ideas floating about.

How about basing the rules on reversal film. No post processing at all, in or out of the camera - jpeg from the camera only, as if it were film.

E.G. No HDR, no digital filters (Analogue filters allowed), No Photoshop.
