Thanks.

Keep finding reasons to get it, then another not to

you'll get used to not looking through a viewfinder. I shot mainly with a C***n G10 for a long time and did not miss having a viewfinder.

I picked up one of these viewfinders from Jessops pending the arrival of my Q from Tesco. I was surprised that it did not come with a small case. Should it?

No case Dave. When I need small cases I tend to look at vintage oddments that may have had totally different purposes.

I keep my K-5 batteries in a perfectly sized Samsonite leather compact camera case. I keep batteries for the W90 and Q in a 1930s ring wallet and a 1940s Zippo lighter wallet respectively.

I'm still on the lookout for the perfetct case for the Q viewfinder, but I will find one eventually. It might even be photographic. Actually, many older external viewfinders had leather cases.....
Best regards, John

When I owned the Ricoh GX100 the viewfinder came with a super little leather case.

There are numerous cases available for the Olympus VF-1 viewfinder (the optical one for the PEN cameras), I don't know how it compares with the Q viewfinder size-wise, but the cases may be suitable.

Ebay is probably your friend in these instances.

I keep looking a photographs of this camera, I haven't seen one in the flesh, and can't think of a reason to buy one.

I think it's something you have to see in the flesh before deciding. I was very tempted by the recent prices but, like you, couldn't really see why I needed one, other than the fact it was cheap (ish)

I had a look at one in Jessops the other day and really didn't like it at all. I'm not saying you won't like it, plenty of people love it so I am swimming against the tide a little, just that, had I ordered it unseen, it would have gone straight back.

Nor me but it has never stopped me buying something before.
I even bought the last local viewfinder " just in case"

I realise this is an older post, but I just noticed Jessops are selling the Pentax O-VF1 External Viewfinder for £19.99.
