I have a cheap adapter, bought from ebay.

It has an aperture ring control which operates the aperture leaver on the lens mount, so works with A, F, FA and DA lenses. There are no markings to show you what aperture you are setting but it does allow you to operate the diaphragm and get some aperture control.

It did cost a little more than the versions with no aperture control but far cheaper than the Pentax one, although of course that is much better with full automation and a shutter.

This is a similar one link

Thanks guys.

I got the Orwo from a guy who buys film in bulk. I am trying a few different films out in pursuit of the perfect one.
I think you'll find there is no perfect film, its a horses for courses thing. Different films have different characteristics and so different uses. Then there can be variation in processing, sometimes deliberately done to change the image. A whole world to explore!

Nice set of pictures.

Yes!

Surely it is seeing the potential in an image that changes it from just being true life.

I love the rooftop shot with its creative depth of field which works perfectly for this subject. Not so taken with the others, I feel they would be better closer in, but they do convey that autumnal feeling!
Glad you liked the roof, I was in two minds If I should include it with the 'Autumn' title but the moss seemed to make it right to me.

I'm afraid the 50-135 wouldn't focus closer on the flower in number 3.

Hi Magicman.
The Exif is attached to these images. If you are using firefox this works, link It is a firefox add on.

Hi Vic
If you are a plus member you can access the mag back issues, found under 'Shop' then 'Magazine Back Issues' on the links at the top of the page.

I think you need summer 2001.

Sorry, but I prefer the way the site is now. I'm sure there are things that could improve the site but I don't think this is it!

Face-twit bit is just wasted space that could be used for something of interest. If you must have it, why at the top of the page? I don't think many here will find it of use and it is just making it harder to find the content we come for!

I find the gray background more comfortable than the white although I think the main problem is there is too much empty space. It will mean me having to scroll more to find stuff but I might just not!

I'm afraid it seems to me like it is an update that does not actually improve the site but just makes it harder to access the content.
