Probably by mistake ..... All retractable tapes are left handed
You have to use the pencil with your left hand to mark where to cut etc.

Most RH people use them upside down

If I'm out in the mountains it is almost always the 18-135. Light, compact, fast to operate with a good range and weather protection. It is usually carried in a holster attached to my rucksack, for easy access as I walk/climb. I don't have time and the weather can be a problem for lens changing. Sure, It's not the best quality lens but it works well in the environment I'm in and the pictures are definitely better than friends compacts, without carrying too much weight.
If I'm being a bit more leisurely, I would probably take two lenses and go for better quality. Lens choice would depend entirely where I am going and what I'm expecting to want to take pics of. Sometimes it would be a couple of zooms, sometimes it may be DA Limiteds. Small enough to drop 2 or 3 in your pockets!

2. Like the way you have caught the light. I've been down that way several times recently and the winter light is just like that! Contrast looks fine to me.
3. Again, the light on the wires.
4. Love the textures.
No 1 suffers from the fact I get fed up with noisy Chinooks thumping around our way! Not really a critique of the photo.

All good but the spiv stands out for me, colour version. The warm light of the flame adds atmosphere that is not in the mono version.

Hello and welcome back
I prefer the weight and handling of the k10 to the k5
My super a was a lot lighter but it didn't do all the things the k5/k10 does and you don't haveto wait to see your pictures!

I take my pictures with all the jpg settings (sharpening, contrast etc) set to mid position, max file size and then use Faststone image viewer for the adjustments after, on the computer. Easy to make changes to the image and doesn't require too much skill with the software!
I also use the auto bracketing quite a lot, allows me to have more than one go at getting the picture I wanted without going the raw route.
