Second one is a corker, have you tried it 90 degrees CCW as I found my head naturally wanted to tilt to take it all in properly?

Nice set, the DA35 looks a decent little lens. VW Festival is always a good day out, missed it this year though

First time at this great event, won't be the last. Here's a small selection of the pics I took using a K5, Sigma 10-20, FA35, FA50 and Tamron 70-200.

All handheld, no fancy tricks - 'Wall of Death' and 'Soapbox Derby' had a blip of trailing sync flash.

Dreaded winning one of these as I can't guarantee to maintain the excellent judging standards, though I'll do my best...

I'd hope 'Interior' is a suitably broad-ranging topic. Buildings, cars, natural orifice or object. Outside looking in, inside looking out or anything else you can think of, as long as it fits the theme

Shots are to be taken from now until 6 pm BST, 18th August 2011. Pentax cameras or Samsung variants only please.

EXIF data to be provided, please try to keep images to 800px on the long side.

Thanks to karma mechanic for such thorough feedback and congrats to everyone involved!

I'll be honest, the competition saved this image. Originally it was a wider view to the left that tried to capture some crepscular rays as the impact feature, with the pier taking a smaller role. It didn't work, leaving too much lifeless grey in the frame, but I did like the 'reverse C' flow of clouds, pier and shoreline in this square crop.

Will do my best to get a new comp up before the day is out.

Again, congrats to all and thanks for the kind comments.

27/07/11, jumped off the M5 on the way home from Devon for a quick look at Clevedon Pier. Missed opening hours by 10 mins and the light was rubbish!

K5, Sigma 10-20 @14mm/f18, ND110 plus ND grad, 102 seconds.

My first piece of welding glass sliced through the rubber bands - same result. Eventually Santa dropped off a B+W ND110 and I had to empty the camera bag of my Heath Robinson creations

So where are there any good camera shops in the Northwest?
Mathers of Lancashire (Bolton town centre) had stocks of a range of Pentax stuff last time I went by.

And all full-frame compatible - nice list.

Agree with Kris it's well worth a try but all like-for-like insurance I've encountered has one eye firmly on product value. I don't recall seeing the K20 retailing for what the K-5 fetches even 8 months after release.

The K-7 is closest fit.
