ICE is my favourite of the free tools and I like PTGui best out of the more expensive options.
This. ICE in particular is great at avoiding ghosting without manual intervention. PTGui though is as good as it gets if you have some time to invest in the process.

Have yet to spend some time with Kolor Autopano.

Zenitar 16mm fisheyes are around £140 new on Ebay - manual focus but not difficult at all with the DOF such a lens affords.

If you don't like the distortion you could probably defish it to something approaching the equivalent of a 13-14mm rectilinear?

DNG convert, lens correct, crop. Tickle with Topaz Adjust, colour balance a bit, denoise, resize, sharpen. Bit OTT for my usual taste but was thinking of those cheap canvases that certain shops knock out by the thousand...

My own variation on the 'old family photo' look.

Square crop, ran that through Poladroid, added the coffee stain. There's something about this challenge that makes me want to try the things I ordinarily wouldn't

As others have said, trying to roll back the overexposure and blown highlights in RAW would be a good start as pale skin and a black backdrop have really tricked the camera here. Lesson learnt, if at all unsure then keep an eye on the histogram.

As for the Mother Love Bone t-shirt, love it. Off to dig out their long-forgotten CD for a spin!

Very understanding, especially since her purchase of a K100D. As a former designer she seems to have a reasonable eye for it too... there may be trouble ahead

Not been able to get out and test further though can't reproduce it indoors, so beginning to think the PU common sense wagon is right.

Could be a design difference with the K7/5 body as I've been utterly careless with respect to covering the K-x viewfinder before now with no ill effects.

Will update as soon as I get chance to head out with the camera again.

Happened to my K5 once, AF/C, continuous shooting in focus priority, buffer wasn't full as it took one shot before locking. Hasn't happened/haven't been able to reproduce it since. I was using a cheap battery grip at the time, which is rarely on the camera. Did you have one of those mounted?

Anyone got experience of having a Pentax properly converted to IR rather than attaching R72's and the like? Got an old DS2 sat around doing nothing...
