Hi Fletchr8,
The last version for me. I think the warmer tones just suit the image better.
Great shot by the way.

Hi,
Ive just received word that a few of my photos from Mondello Park on their Truck Day are being used in Fleet Magazine. I dont know which images yet, but when i receive my copy of the mag i will post the images. I am supposed to be credited as the photographer but wont know till i see it. Might make it a bit easier to get accreditation further down the rd.
A big thanks to Simon Arron, and everyone else for tips and advice prior to that day. (please keep it coming)

Just thought id share my bit of good news.

Fr Ted super shot, Fast enough to be sharp, slow enough to get the wheel spin with the muck . I would have been tempted to ps the number plate. That TEG could very easily be TED.

Thanks

I spent about an hour and a half in Mondello park this morning and took a few on the way home and a couple through my sittingroom window (triple glazed)
Modello shots were in an attempt to catch some sense of movement with a mix of panning and slowish shutter speed and shooting wide open to isolate subject, trying to keep an eye on The dreaded background.
The birds, I just liked
And the field, well i just liked the shift from crop to background with a little bit of red from a few poppies
As always Cc most welcome. Good Bad or Indifferent

[quote:3496ace15f="QuestionableCarrot"]some great shots there Derek. I was at a drifting event a few weeks ago in Bishopscourt up North. Its a sport that seems to be catching on in Ireland. Ive posted some of my own.

It does seem that way, Hopefully i will get a chance to go to a full event soon.
Yours are Cracking shots, love the atmosphere and angles, kinda gritty.
Love them.

Thanks for the explanation John

Hi Don. Thanks, I had to do a fair bit of pp on these to try and salvage something from them as the wheels were frozen so I had to try and add some motion. Emphases on try.
Thanks again for taking the time to comment.
Derek.

Hi after getting just a couple of shots during a very quick drift display last week im hopeful that someone on here will have some tips on shooting this type of motorsport, or is it just slow shutter speeds and good panning technique.During the display (only a couple of minutes) they mostly did doughnuts type thing just advertising that a drift day was coming up. I would like to get some ideas about how best capture this as i was caught unawares when they came out on track last week and shot all too fast.

Here a couple from last week.
CC welcome.
