Thanks guys. I had made a deal with the promoter of mondello that I would give mondello park my images for promotion in return for access to the track and pits so I could learn how to take shots of Motorsport. The truck day was my 2nd time there. I don't receive payment but I do enjoy learning and the time I'm there. It's very hard to get accreditation to get access so I feel lucky that I managed to talk him into it.

Pleased to hear that Pentax is gaining a broader trackside footprint. Well done - and best of luck with future commissions. I look forward to seeing the results.

Well done, good to hear.
I've had some images in the last couple of issues of "Ceili" an Irish dancing magazine. No-one on here is likely to see it as it is only distributed within the irish dance community (my wife and daughter have a small irish dancing school).

It seems you'r not looking for the "best photograph", you have to think about the one that can be best used.

Yes, I agree with this. On the few occasions when I have had stuff published the editors seldom use my favourite images. It is more a question of what fits best on the page or can be overprinted with text without losing the key elements of the shot.

Ive just received word that a few of my photos from Mondello Park on their Truck Day are being used in Fleet Magazine. I dont know which images yet, but when i receive my copy of the mag i will post the images. I am supposed to be credited as the photographer but wont know till i see it. Might make it a bit easier to get accreditation further down the rd.
A big thanks to Simon Arron, and everyone else for tips and advice prior to that day. (please keep it coming)
Just thought id share my bit of good news.
