For sale is this cracking lens.
This is the last version sigma made for K mount.
It has the updated K1 FF mount, but is equally happy on apsc.
This was bought here on this forum and was Mike-p's lens.
Comes boxed, padded case, hood caps and apsc hood extension.
Been sitting idle since I acquired it, and new promotion in fire service means I'm pretty much tied to village, so its unlikely to get any use.
Looking for £500 + postage ovno,
Will post some images later,

Just keep in mind,
I'm Irish.
My standards may well be lower

Thanks folks.

Lennybloke - It was approaching sunset. I don't do low sun in the morning photography when the sun rises at the time it does at the moment and the dog won't walk in the heat of the day, so evening it has to be. Good for sunsets, silhouettes, shadows across undulating landscape and all accompanied by the sound of blackcap, song thrush, blackbird, wren, chiff-chaff and more.

Hard to beat late evening sun, and the long shadows across the landscape.

You paint an equally pleasing image with words as you do with your camera.
👏👏👏👏👏👏

A fabulous series of shots - this is macro at its best. Have you tried a 50mm on a full set of tubes? I like my A50 f1.7 used in this way, it gives great results. Might have a go with my 135mm Takumar and see what this does.

What aperture settings were used for these?

Regards
David
Hi David, apertures were as follows,
First 4 were f2.8
Next 2 Cockchaffer shots f3.2
Next was wide open at f2
And the last was f2.5

I dont have a 50mm to try out, I might keep my eyes peeled for one.

Definitely have a go with your 135mm tak, should be excellent.

Thanks again.

Ps, should also add that I was using 52mm of tubes for these.

Cheers guys, for me it helps that the samyang 135mm f2 is razor sharp. So even with out flash, the results suit my type of shooting.
And it's a totally different result from using flash.

Well shot sir.
Well worth bringing on the walk.

Are you sure it's a cardinal beetle? I always thought they had a red shell and were black under it.
Possible red soldier beetle. Or you may well be right.
Cracking shot whatever it is. 👏👏👏

Blimey Joe - how can you suggest they aren't as good as the ones posted so far? IMO these show precisely that beautiful soft background look as the lens drifts out of focus - great shooting
Couldn't agree more. Cracking set.

Cool set, never tried a "Hollywood lens" so cant say much about them, but You have taken some lovely shots with it. 1 and 2 for me.
Good shooting indeed 👏👏👏

OK here is the final version. I used a 16:9 ratio. After Dodging/burning I added a Gaussian blur to everything except the bridge and added a vignette for good luck !

I missed this first time around, and this final 3dit works for me. I think part of the problem with the first, was it was way too tight at the top.
This is a far better balanced shot.
