Hello Matt,

Book choice can be very subjective and therefore difficult to recommend, however, three books I acquired in recent months which I found useful, informative, entertaining and enjoyable are the these:-

1/ Outdoor Photography Masterclass - Niall Benvie link

2/ Transient Light: A Photographic Guide to Capturing the Medium - Ian Cameron link

3/ Mountain Light: In Search of the Dynamic Landscape - Galen Rowell link

Good luck & Best Wishes....

I have the same 200mm Tak as David and although not the fastest it is a thing of beauty in my opinion. Lovely creamy BOKEH and small and great to handle and very sharp.

P.S I'm not a relative
All these lenses are things of beauty. They're very tactile and appealing and their hands-on use is very satisfying. Sadly, a combination of poverty and failing eyesight prevent me from indulging my chronic LBA.
I hope you find good homes for them David. Someone some where is waiting to discover their magic.....

I can fully understand why you would want these. Two cracking lenses with beautiful rich pentax colour rendition. I have both but loathe to part with either I'm afraid, although I might be persuaded on the latter. I do have a 24-50mm M F3.5 & a 28-135mm A F4 which don't get used as they deserve which I would sell if you're interested, the latter I acquired fully refurbished from Eddie Houston, aka the lens doctor. If you don't manage to source a 35-70, then let me know and I may sell mine.... Good luck...

Great to see a talented local photographer, working with an entry level camera and showing its not all about the gear. Its the photographer who takes the pictures.
My thoughts too. I've often thought if some of us spent less time chasing the LBA rainbow and concentrated more on working-out our cheap and cheerfuls, (and not so cheap-n-cheerfuls in some cases) who knows what we might achieve!

You can never have to many butterflies Charlotte and they're never boring. Yours are beautiful. What focal length did you capture these at ?

That's a very, very sad post Jules. There's no merit in getting older but this wonderful hobby we have can be very therapeutic. To get out whatever the weather and peer through your viewfinder can be a great aid to forgetting one's ills and worries. However, I'm sure you haven't taken this decision without a lot of heart searching so very best wishes to you.
It looks like you've got some great bargains there so I doubt it will take long to find some buyers. Good luck....

Congratulations silnabs!
I'm delighted for you that you found a buyer at last. I'm sure MarcelG is pleased also, he too got a bargain and all's well that ends well....
