Ffordes just sold one in the last couple of weeks for £199.00 https://www.ffordes.com/p/SH-42-047224/sigmapentax-af/120-400mm-f45-56-apo-dg-hs...

At £209.00 with free delivery, this looks like a good buy for anyone on the look out for the PLM version of the 55-300.

Have a great weekend all.

As I suspected, this didn't stay long. I'd like to think someone here might have been advantaged by it.

Used but I think Iit represents good value @ £199.00 + postage from Ffordes https://www.ffordes.com/p/SH-42-047224/sigmapentax-af/120-400mm-f45-56-apo-dg-hs... for anyone in the market for such a lens. Be quick though because I suspect it won't be there long before it's snapped-up at this price.

A couple of caveats to be aware of though if using it on the K1. The mount may not have been replaced for the K1 friendly version and also, this lens is not compatible with the K1 out of the box. It needs to be sent to Sigma for a firmware update and mount change. The service I believe is still available and FREE of charge, the turnaround being about a week.

And it won't be compatible with most people's computers.

Best left alone - Period.

Lovely set. Sooo many happy memories of Arnside.

Worry not Gareth, we're probably all guilty at some point of looking and not seeing...lol

I wasn't claiming it was cheap, compared to this however it's a bargain! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/293869753512?hash=item446c0094a8:g:lDQAAOSwUrhfx2bQ

Congratulations David, a super lens which you will certainly enjoy. It also has a useful close focus distance of under a meter.
