Just the title confused me ... is it a K-1 with 2 exclamation marks or a K-1 MKII ?
You have probably hit the nail on the head here!

At first glance it looks like K1 with two exclamation marks but I think you are correcet, the reality is that those two exclamation marks are a 'typo' by the OP.

It just goes to show how easy it is to get it wrong by taking things at face value
That's three exclamation marks.. lol..

I did not have to extract the file.
"Provide a formatted SD memory card for the update software.
The download file is self-extracting. The following file is extracted. Fwdc###b.bin:"
Yes I am well aware it's a self extracting Zip however, for the OP it's clear something did not work as he was unable to update his camera to the latest firmware. In this scenario it's worth exploring all other options.

Apparently it is used in conjunction with night vision kit hence the strange name

Thank you for that info Michael. A bit of research confirms you are correct. It appears that these were possibly used by the ecilop for there late night work so maybe star wars wasn't too far of the mark...lol.. Anyway, given its condition and for the price I decided it was worth a punt just for the curiosity value.

Have a good evening.

PS It it turns out to be a dog I'll blame you

I've seen some odd looking lenses with peculiar names but this one takes the biscuit!

Maybe it's for shooting Star Wars
