As someone born in Newcastle on Tyne and who spent most of his life living and working in, or within a few miles of, the city my instinct is to pronounce it 'buckie.'

Very enjoyable, you've captured the atmosphere nicely Peter. Is that Virginia in picture No.3? She should put some clothes on she looks cold poor thing.

I think they slipped the same photo in twice by mistake and took up the space meant for the conclusion of the article.

Good luck with the fieldwork Kris,

Best wishes Martin.

Paul, I greatly admire your work ranging from architectural abstracts through to protest marches and the homeless project. I do hope you get a platform in a gallery for the homelesness series. Perhaps one of the appropriate charities involved could help you here? One of the more serious newspapers with a social concience might also be interested.
And instead of risking antagonising Boris by scoring political points get him on side by letting him see your portfolio.
As far as I'm concerned for the work you are doing you are totally forgiven for your idiosyncratic use of apostraphies.

Like the others I prefer picture No.1. I don't know if I agree about the crop across the top. The top of the building and the tops of the windows are not completely in line. Perhaps a crop leaving just a little of the white area might work?

Just as well we have professional journalists recording the incompetence of our protectors and guardians. The media also heeded requests from authority not to publish any pictures which would compromise the security operation.

Recently I was away from home at my son's and found out on the Monday morning on his computer that I had won a weekly competition. His computer then crashed beyond recovery leaving me in a state of near panic. I don't have a laptop. I remembered that local libraries usually have internet connections. His village library allowed me to go online for long enough to set the following week's subject, although I wasn't a member of the library service for that area.

This is excellent, I love pictures like this,
