This has been discussed previously and many long-standing members prefer the Fortnightly Competition in the Forum. Suggestions for change always seem to arouse strong feelings so it's a brave person who wants to go there again. Personally I'd rather have the Fortnightly Competition in The Gallery because of its easy access and user-friendly viewing system. It's not possible to access the competitions in the Forum to see all the past and present entries at a glance the way you can with the weekly competitions in the Gallery. And it's easier to enter a picture in the Gallery without having to use a third party medium to do so as you must do in the Forum.
PS: To get back on topic, I'm pleased to see a healthy start to the current Weekly Competition.

I've launched the next weekly competition, Action. Any comments on the subject may be added to this thread.

The Scottish Highland midges are a real pest in the summer. And you get them in Kielder Forest, Northumberland, south of the Scottish Border too. Year ago I was told by a barman in the wilds of Wester Ross that the power linesmen working on the electricity company power lines in the Highlands use Avon Skin So Soft to repel them. So John was right.
Probably works on photographers as well as the power men.

All this has given me a nasty headache and my eyes hurt so much everything has gone out of focus.

No.3 for me. I don't care for the crop across half of the locomotive in No.2 but I do like the vintage style tint and the faded old photo effect..

Just read your post Ken, hope everything went well for you and your family on the Big Day. Who took the pictures of the Bride with her Father?
I've had my 50-135 for about two years now and I still think it's ace.

I've got a DA* 16-50 as have many people on this site and it's a superb lens.

I like the black and white treatment although I think the pic looked pretty good in colour too. Yes, leave the fence in, it's part of the industrial scene.
