Thanks Richard, joking aside what do you think your trademark is in a photography sense?

Some are easily identifiable, e.g. Maria's (Autumnlight) images stand out immediately, as do Sandinista's.

Flicking through some of the members' portfolios earlier this evening made me stop and think about something. It strikes me that we all probably have our own 'trademark' on our images, something that is recognisable in most cases as having been produced by a certain person. I'm unsure what mine is (would be interested to know what others think) as I'm a very poor judge of my own shots, but I'm sure that I must have one!

What is your trademark and why?

How easy (or difficult) is it to produce shots that don't bear your trademark?

Cheers
David

I have to agree with Fatbiker and Smeggy on this one, I can't think of too many things less appealing than taking photos of the moon as far as photography goes! Each to their own, we all like different things thank God!

BTW, I'm not poopooing it, just don't understand the appeal. I'm not sure if I would be any good at it as I've never tried!

Not really as you'll get into politics which is not permitted here and may draw attention to you under section 8.

It is however a worth the visit.

Best regards
Tongue firmly in cheek, thought it might provide a bit of amusement

Hope you don't mind a testimonial on your thread for selling this lens - it is a great lens at a great price; I know I wouldn't sell mine. Not only is it a very good macro lens, it excels with portrait work (weddings?) and has lovely smooth bokeh too.

Good luck with the sale, someone should snap this up!

Best wishes

I don't think there's any point in trying for colour in this shot, it would not pay any dividends and I think the overall look and subject matter is perfect for a mono shot.

I like the under-exposure approach, but it's maybe gone a bit too far in this image? It's always best to expose for the highlights, but I think it's essential to retain some shadow detail, except in circumstances where obtaining silhouettes is the objective.

The link doesn't seem to work? Gives HTTP 400 error? I think this may be the correct link:

The third one for me is my favourite and is the one that suits this technique the best, as it enhances the 'antique' feel. I'm not sure that it adds much to the first two.

The third and fourth are the ones for me Tim, I agree with Gareth that the third could stand a little bit chopped off the bottom. The weather we hit when we got here was appalling, especially as it looked so promising only half an hour before this.
