The first one is definitely the best Drew, the crop doesn't work for me. However. I would suggest an alternative crop by taking some off the bottom as there is quite a lot of grass there.

The image is very lovely, great tones and lots of nice details. BTW, it's not the same image! The sky is different and the two people are in different places!

Brilliant shot, it certainly works well with that lens!

Looks pretty sharp and nice to me Kris! Macro photography is not easy, even of so-called inanimate objects like flowers which are not supposed to move about! The wind is the enemy in these situations and I think you've done very well here.

Here's one that is a bit different with the K55 F1.8, this was on a full set of Extension Tubes:

I think I paid £30 for mine, not much money for a thing of beauty!

Just to be clear about what I meant, I do like the image very much and I think you are right about the smooth sea, but this could have been achieved with a 10 second exposure or less, what I was meaning is that it didn't need 258 seconds. The light must have been quite dim if it needed 258, even taking into account the 10 stop filter, so I would guess that a long exposure was possible without the filter, or with just a polariser for example?

I vote K55 F1.8 too, although before you gave one of the clues I was wondering about SMC Takumar 135mm F3.5

I sold a K-5 in mint cosmetic condition and 17500 shutter count for only £250 recently. It had a fault with the pop-up flash, but most people don't use this. If you look hard enough there are bargains to be had, I would agree with the other posters above that a K-5 would be a better buy than a a K10 or K20, but it all depends on how much you can spend.
