I love the pics of the rusty old trucks, particularly Nos. 2+3. The PP treatment has worked out exceptionally well. I also really like the yawning tree in No.5

Good subjects for the technique, especially when its done as well as here.

Particularly like the truck shots - the HDR look works particularly well with those kind of subjects. I'm left wondering about the final two - I wonder if I may have got much closer to ground level to take those shots and attempt to add some more drama to the composition as well as the processing.

Two and three are particularly appealing: I'd love to have stumbled across that lorry.

I'm not mad on HDR unless the effect is very subtle. A couple of the lake shots are rather flat and wan looking. But that's just me, I guess.

Each to his own, I guess.

I can't help feeling that a more natural treatment would have been just as good. Mostly nothing wrong with the compositions (sky is a bit too thin in the first of the thrombolite shots), but there's bags of detail and interest to keep the attention.

I do like 1 and 3; 1 looks almost natural, and 3 is just so bold and the colours are fantastic.

The horizon in the last one has a troubling curve to it, otherwise I like that too.

Kudos to Trouty for spotting the yawn, which I also like, again mostly because it's reasonably natural looking.

Not really criticising the effects, HDR just isn't my thing. Slightly oversharpened, though, perhaps.

I like number three, the tones in the colours are fantastic. Looking at number six, I assume you could not move more to the left. That boardwalk seems to have some interesting curves as a lead in

2&3 are my favourites. I prefer HDR like this when it is obvious as no attempt to mislead. Very artistic shots.

I think these are just the type of subjects that are made for HDR and the processing here is not over the top. I like all of them, but 3 is may particular favourite.

Thanks Jon, I didn't have the welly's on, I was on the jetty itself so any lower was the camera on the tripod, over the side with me trying to hold it steady above the waterline.

Thanks Chris, the curve is a by-product of the 16-50mm @ 16mm and pointed down.

Not without getting wet Barrie.

Many negative vibes here but hey, who created this - if you like the image, game, set. net or whatever they say-- Now, if you want to change your technique or looking for some specific help on difficult presentations then you can ease up on some image results that OTHERS may dislike. If you like em' print them -- tg

I like my HDR so subtle that you can't tell it's HDR ..so no surprise that I don't like most of them.

Like the first truck one and Lake Clifton one (which I like a lot )
