Love these images Barrie, some very strong compositions, colours and contrasts.

A lovely set of images, I'm always amazed by what this little camera can produce in the hands of someone that knows what they are doing! Having said that, I've just sold mine, just didn't use it enough, found it hard to get on with having no viewfinder.

I was there two weeks ago. Corfu that is.

Whereabouts was it?
Hi, it is Old Perithia, up in the hills in the North of the island.

Thanks all for the comments, I really enjoyed visiting this place, not a hint of health and safety in sight! Some may say it's irresponsible of the Greek authorities to allow people to wander around places like this, but we're responsible adults and it's obvious that these buildings are in a precarious state, so it's a case of standing in the doorways and getting the best possible angles from there.

The place is set in stunning countryside, which was all the better in the evening light we had for our visit. Well worth going to see if you are in Corfu.

Top notch, this must have been a huge amount of work. One of the best time-lapses I've seen.

This year we went on holiday to Corfu and visited some fantastic places, including Old Perithia, which is a partly ruined village high in the hills. The residents mostly left in the early 20th century, to move nearer to the coastline and work in the tourism industry. What's left behind is a fascinating glimpse into the old Corfu, lots of ruined medieval buildings and bags of character. This is a set taken on my visit there, please comment and critique.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? A simply stunning location and stunning images. I really do think you're at your best with landscapes like this Bill, you always make the best of what you have available and draw out some stunning compositions.

I love the simple minimalism of these shots, a feeling which is enhanced by the misty conditions. These are the sort of images that provoke calm thoughts and contemplation.

Very different to some of your other sets Bill and well worth an early start I think.
