A lovely, thoughtful set of images that really stand out from the norm. I take my hat off to you for producing such quality when having to play the family man etc. I find this very difficult and only tend to produce anything worth looking at when I have time to myself (rare, nowadays).

The flower shots are awesome, it's difficult to get the exposure right on this type of colour, but these are spot-on.

Love the compositions in 1 & 2 also.

Great composition and colour combinations in these shots, I like them a lot. No idea on the flower species I'm afraid.

Excellent images, the DA*300, with or without a TC is a great lens for butterflies.

My favourites in this set are the Skipper, the Red Admiral and the Green Veined White on Dandelion.

All beautifully shot, great set again Chris. Perhaps not the impact of the Marbled White in your other set, but fantastic nonetheless.

3 and 5 are magnificent, particularly number 3. Great set all round though, I'm loving these recent macro posts.

Snakes in the garden, are you sure it's not a zoo you're in ???
Damn St Patrick for banishing all the snakes from Ireland

They are cracking shots though.

Just a question not a criticism, did the WB. Shift between both snake shots.
Colour reproduction in first, is much more pleasant, more magenta in the 2nd one.

Again though,
Cracking set.
Hi Derek, I'm really not sure what happened, these were processed with identical WB settings, I even processed them twice to make sure, but for some reason the second one came out completely different. I can't explain it, these were the only 2 shots from the day that looked so different!

Great set Derek, no duffers in here! I take it the 1st & 2nd are without flash and the next two with flash?
