I like the views but the images seem to be low very resolution, difficult to get close inspection. Coot looks sharp and so does tree trunk, when clicked on to view full size some reduce in size. As no exif data available can you upload the originals with all the data? PS have images been tweaked in PS etc or are they straight form camera?

i will never use a blower again.....first time i used one it blew dust up into the pentaprism, although it was no longer on the sensor it was badly visible every time i looked through the viewfinder.

lucky enough i managed to blag currys and they gave me a new one

Since then though had it set to dust clean on start up and have not had a problem since
I must say my K7 sensor hasnt suffered with dust (Dust removal at start up is set) but I blew dust off the mirror. Now I have dust on pentaprism it annoyed me for a few days but I have got used to it now. And some of the worst specks seem to have moved off pentaprism with use since.

I have tried the sugggestions, a total reinstall of PSE after removing all traces of it from hard drive. But to no avail. So decided time wasted was not worth it. Only concern now is that if and when I upgrade to a later version of PSE the glitch will be carried over. Still better to get out with camera and enjoy photography than worry any more.
Thanks for the suggestions.

I have Elements 6.0 when I use Photoshops Image Downloader it works fine until Elements opens. When it opens the details shown of the newly imported images are correct, the correct number of files and images are displayed. The problem is the images are usualy Photoshop stock images. Clicking on the "Show All" button only closes that view and usualy opens a folder of Photoshop images, not the new folders/images. I can then open a new folder after scrolling through the folders on the LH side. I am sure when I first used Elements it worked correctly. I have tried total removal and reinstallation of Elements several times with no luck. Any clues as to whats wrong?
If its any help I have a PDF saved of Elements 1st page but dont know how or if I can import it into Photobucket or Pentaxuser.

You could try the free and seemingly very good Microsoft Security Essentials. It works for me.

Whilst updating my Photobucket images my PC became infected by "SOFTUPDATE107_2164[1].EXE" malware. My FREE AVG warned me and isolated it into the virus vault. When it was detected I was also prompted to install/run a virus scanner which I think was part of the Malware/virus. I declined as it didnt seem to be anything to do with AVG. I am at present running a full AVG scan. Will update you if it finds further problems.
Thoughts and Questions
* Does anyone know anymore about this virus/malware?
* Is there any more I should do?
* Can virus/malware infect a memory card and then damage a camera?

I didnt know I could get one for as little as that, I think I could just about afford that. I just hope it fixes the problem and its not a camera fault.

Is there not a mic level control on the camera?
I have searched the menu and the manual and so far can only find that output volume can be adjusted.

That's a bit poor. There should at least be a gain control and an input level meter on the LCD.

How many bits is the AD convertor?
I'm a bit dim, whats the AD convertor?

Just ralised that AD is Analogue/Audio Digital but do you mean the in camera or PC AD and how do I check either?
