It may be me, but I don't think I've ever kept a photo captured on AF.c on the K10D K7 K5 or K5IIs. Every now and again I give it another try, or discover it moved there by accident, but it just doesn't serve any purpose. In my experience, there are much smarter ways to focus.

Welcome back Ralf.
Takes real skill to find a composition amongst all the choices; I like them all! Lovely processing as usual

The K7 is simply not that much better than the K10. The difference in picture quality will be minimal. In fact you may prefer the punch of the K10D.
Save an extra £50 and get the K5. Or buy a K-x for £150 now THAT is a bargain. Low noise awesomeness.
Long lens = high ISO. K7 just doesn't cut it.

I have pictures somewhere proving the K7 was noisier than the K10d and that's saying something.
I was so disapointed with it. The K5 is streets ahead.
I have 3 K5, which is a bit excessive, so if you want one, give me a shout!

Great shots. Pity there was no one there

I like the steps - great graphic image with humour and balance. although the trainers have their place in the narrative, I would crop a little tighter to remove them. I had a little play here and made it contrasty b/w with darker steps to enphasize that element. Happy to show you if you're interested.

Thanks Kris.
I have a spare 5 if you want it

Thanks guys.
I haven't noticed any iffy focus as such. You may have to help it with a contrasty edge, but the K5 still gets there accurately in my experience - hopefully the subject hasn't moved
