McGregNi: You may be on to something with a bit less sky in #1. Just scrolled up a little and have to agree.
Not so sure about the lower viewpoint as that would have left only the tree tops in the background peeking out. Going even lower and shooting against the sky would have been possible, would have been good with a blue sky, I think.
