Can anyone explain to me if theirs something I need to adjust or is it just the lens is not compatible with my camera.
There's nothing you need to adjust, but the lens is compatible, just that the field of view is narrower than you expected, as described by everyone else above.

Depends what subject you're wanting to shoot. As Galoot has shown, the fisheye looks fine on a largely natural subject (the bridge shot above), but if you're shooting buildings, or anything tall and straight (trees, waterfalls etc), even with the camera level you'll still see plenty of curved lines. Take a look at the shots of Edinburgh City Chambers and the Hogshead Bar on Galoots website to see.

If you wanted to keep those lines straight, you'd need a rectilinear lens like the Sigma 10-20 or Pentax 12-24.

I love the look of the fisheye, but only in moderation. That's why I went for the Sigma.

Mine was a PK mount, which is why I'm using Pentax today...

Is that a shrubbery I see in the background?

Is there any truth in the rumour that midges don't like Marmite? Presumably you don't smear it on your face, but if you eat it regularly it's supposed to keep them at bay.

These look really nice, especially like that last one. Not so keen on the first one, tried a similar shot myself last year and it didn't really work for me, but the last three I really do like.

Not heard of Trelowarren, but just googled it. We were a stone's throw away when we went to the seal sanctuary last year, looks very nice. But the prices for the self-catering!

Their press release says "The manually focused ZEISS SLR lenses (with their transmission elements) for the K bayonet fulfill the SMC-A standard and thus permit the utilization of the shutter priority, aperture priority and programmed auto exposure on all camera models with these features."

But what a good job Dan did on sensing the people that were around your shot but not in the shot. Pure magic...

Just to put my two penneth in, don't forget 'mono' doesn't necessarily mean black and white, you can have mono colour images. Monochrome just means 'one colour', so good mono shots can be taken in colour...

I do like a nice debate like this!
