First one's excellent, second one more so. I got the 50 1.4 back in the early summer and couldn't get enough of it. Nice to go out with just the one lens now and again (and leave my 10-20 at home).

It looks as though it's about to fly, but it was just cleaning its wings, so it sat like that for a minute or so. But it is my favourite ladybird pic so far...

Found it hard choosing an entry this week, as it's my 'thing' I have a lot to choose from. Nearly entered this starling one, but then I thought perhaps my mouse, or my hoverflies...

This is for sticky aperture blades? I think the complaint is a sticky aperture ring, which I would think would be a different thing.

The first rule of the P.U. Competiton is: Don't talk about the P.U. Competition!

Actually, there are few rules, and you can most certainly change your entry before the closing date.

I think the only rule was that the images shouldn't be above about 800 pixels wide/high.

We like to be relaxed around here...

Yes, I did think about photoshopping this out, but it seemed like too much hard work. It's the stem of the teasal head, and in the colour version it's not as prominent. Oh well, never mind. The dead head I have in the garden awaiting a frost has been carefully arranged to avoid an OoF stem.
