My local CameraWorld (Chelmsford, Essex) has the bodies and the 16-45, and that's about it. Everything else they'd have to order in.

Still, better than the Jessops round the corner.

I think the reason there have been no entries today is that the competition usually finishes at midnight (GMT) on Sunday, not 7 days after it starts.

I, like most others I suspect, have been patiently awaiting your verdict!

To quote Pete "features a trigger lock for doing bulb photography (long exposures) if your camera has a B setting".
That's the cable release, I asked about the (wireless) remote.

Also the links don't work now, they seem to have changed the product codes.

Does the remote support bulb exposures? I know people have found that some third party ones don't.

Ta,
Dan

(Not that I'm after one, I've got the Pentax one nestled away in my K10D grip )

Daniel...do you like B&W?
Yes I do Dirk, but I only dabble with it now and again. So partly I chose that image in B&W because I thought that might appeal to you, but also because it was taken in mixed lighting, and the shadow areas were a purple-blue colour, which didn't look right.

Oh, and when I thought of the theme for Paper, Scissors, Stone, I googled the phrase and it came up with all the others too, so that confused me a bit.

This was the first time I have judged any competition and I found it very hard indeed.
It doesn't get any easier either. Looking forward to next monday with mixed feelings. But Pete's absolutely right about it all being down to personal preference. Undoubtedly if someone else was judging the same pics the result would be different.

On a couple of occasions I've tried to pic my entry to appeal to the judge in question. It hasn't worked. Actually, I tell a lie. My one for Dirk's 'People Communication' was black and white partly because I thought he liked the medium. But I find the best thing is just to pic what you think is best and hope that the judge thinks so too.

Hey! Thanks Iceblinker! Didn't expect to win that, there were several others that I thought could clinch it. I happened to really like Malo's cat and dog.

Anyway, it's late and I've got to think of a theme...

No, hadn't even seen it until you mentioned it, just had a look at completed items.

I think that's a lens to get if you're very much into portraits. I'm not.
