The K20 and K10 are certainly NOT different, there the same identical mount.
You will need an adapter if you intend to use the older M42 screw on lenses

It depends what you mean by older lenses. Screw mount lenses do need an adapter, but you can use any K mount (bayonnet) lenses on the current crop of Pentax DSLR.

Hi Graig, welcome. Regarding SRS. There should be a comment box appearing when you proceed filling in the usual things on their website.
As long as it isn't shipped yet, you can give Chris a PM. He will sort things out for you, if possible.
As for the lenses, there are a lot of good options, around.
Screw mount Takumars like the SMC 1.4/50 Takumar or the 1.8/2.0 version.
The SMC K 1.8/55MM
The SMC M 1.4/1.7 50 MM's
The SMC A 1.4/1.7/2.0 50 MM.
All of them are manual focus and can be used. Every lens except the A series is without any form of automation.
The A series can be used in all program modes. There is only no AF of course.
For the M42 lenses you need a M42 to K adapter. The best one is on stock at SRS and found here.
Hope it helps,
Martin.

The usual practice is to enter your username in the 'comments' box during checkout.Bit the bullet and ordered a K20D plus 16-45 f4 from SRS, it asked where i heard of them and said this site but there was no where to enter my username.
If you email Chris@SRS , quoting your order and username he will knock off the price of postage.

Anyways on to my question.
What are the Bang for the Buck Staples in the Pentax range of lenses?
Will be looking for a 50mm Prime obviously but are there any other top performers out there?
Mainly interested in Manual Primes.

Pentax-A 28mm f2.8 gives a lot of bang for the buck, and makes a nice little standard lens on digital. What are the Bang for the Buck Staples in the Pentax range of lenses?

Also look out for Pentax-M 100mm f2.8, M 135mm f2.8, K 135mm f2.5.
