If you are not comfortable upgrading it yourself you may well find a local computer shop will do it and fit the memory at the same time.
Personally I think you may still find CS3 and Powerpoint together a bit tight in 1Gb but it will certainly be better than 512Mb. Bearing in mind windows XP with service pack 2, anti-virus etc will use ~250Mb so you are effectively going from 250 to 750 Mb for programs.

I see that you can only have 1GB but in general if you are unsure as to how much memory or what specs you need I find the memory scanner and product lists at

to be very helpfull.

Hi there,
Has anyone used one of the cheap radio flash triggers from ebay. I'm just a tad nervous of using something cheap and non standard on my beloved K10d.
eg. Like this one.

Cheers
Rob.
I recently got to try a few at a studio flash course and found the only really reliable one on my K10D was the pocket wizards. The ebay ones are not much to loose though if they dont work in your case.

Best bet to try this out is to get a second hand UV filter and experiment. Vaseline can be used as well

pocket wizzard works.
seems some sit better and connect to the center contact than others...
The other thing I wondered was the IR used a 1.5 v AA wheras the radio I got used a higher voltage lithium battery (Not sure what the pocket wizzards used). Do you think that could make a difference to triggering?

Well I do apologise, a techie in Pentax said they had a new firmware update as it wouldn't trigger flash before the latest firmware.
