I think you are doing a brave and commendable thing. Whatever the reasons.
I agree with what the rest of the forum are saying. It seems rather low.
Similarly to what Ken has said we had a studio 40ft x 40 ft with 10ft high ceilings and at times that wasn't big enough. Annoyingly my partner did a huge amount of product shots that brought in some serious money and that took up very little room. However when we used to photograph models wearing jewellery for a diamond merchant then we needed loads of room. make up, stylist, hairdresser, client product manager plus a few hangers on and assorted layabouts and the place got very crowded.
One of our biggest costs was insurance, especially if it was for a 'leg' model (for modelling tights stockings etc)
or a hand model (nail varnish, rings etc) not to mention tea coffee sugar milk donuts. Loo rolls, tissues, have I mentioned donuts yet ? The list used to be endless so it emphasises a real need to keep a firm eye on the consumables. Plus we redecorated every year, all of it, main studio, reception, lounge area, toilets x 2 changing rooms x 2. Then there is the cost of donuts to consider.
I must admit that the whole thing became more and more of a nightmare the more we took on.
But would I do it all over again ? Yes if I was 20 years younger. I know all about the hassles and worries of running your own business I've been doing it now for over 20 years but there ain't nothing so great as working for yourself. Did I mention that Donuts can be a major expense.

However the very nice lady on the switchboard has taken my telephone number and has promised to get somebody to give me a call back.

I have had the unique pleasure of meeting and talking to both him and the late Terence Donovan on different
occassions and found them both to be self effacing, unpretentious genius's.
However I have been present when DB has been in a mischevious mood and has ripped the p*ss mercilessly from all around him.
Watch him with Rankin on Youtube.
I'm surprised I can't find an autobiography or even biography about him.
We have now lost two out of the terrible trio so lets hope we can enjoy the prescence of DB for as long as possible.

I've been using Aperture since the launch of the original version and I am very satisfied with the programme overall.
No further comment.

Obviously they will be reluctant to be out right and say "Yep, new range of DSLR's hitting the market from March , six of them, one a month until September when the full frame humdinger top spec pro camera will be released." This would kill sales of the present range.
Although one could argue that it might stop a migration of Pentax owners towards Canikon/Sony.
I always keep one thing in mind.
Everything goes full circle eventually. I can remember when a lot of pro's used Pentax 35mm cameras and Canon where very much a third place runner..........................
Mmmmmmm! I wonder?
