Brother-in-law had an Enfield Bullet, many moons ago, I forget how many cam shafts I replaced for him, it was that many, in the end all I had to do was whistle and they would change themselves. But yes what a great sound when it was running.


Ah, Castrol R, used to burn that together with Clevland Discol petrol in my engine, when I was Kart racing back in the 1960’s, a long time ago, but can still recall the smell. It should be made into an after shave.

Cleveland Discol petrol had a high methanol content, and was not approved by the ACU, for motorcycle racing, but Kart racing was governed my the RAC and it was approved by them.

At 11.11this morning an interview was interrupted with the sound of one hell of a crash, followed by the switching off of their carrier wave for approx 15 to 20 seconds. It made me take notice, and that was it, but I am sure that there were a great number of vulnerable people who were put into complete panic.

What a stupid, ill conceived prank, but I suppose its to be expected.
