Sorry about that

I really hope you enjoy it. It's a fantastic, versatile lens.

From the pictures, there doesn't seem to be any weather sealing. I've asked, but it looks like it's under embargo for now - i.e. no information.

Lovely pictures. My best guess out of a few would be a Yellowhammer, though a male Siskin came close?

It works in raw too - I've used it a few times. It definitely seems to help with saving blown highlights, but adds a bit too much noise in dark areas for me. It cannot be applied in post-processing as it manipulates the way the image is processed at the sensor - apparently.

I can't explain why those pictures seem identically composed unless they've mistaken the HDR filter for EDR as golfdiesel mentioned.

That's a stunning shot. I suppose some would like the vapour trail PS'd out or at least the contrast reduced on the trail so that it doesn't draw the eye so much. Me, I'd be very proud of the shot

IIRC, that happens if you select AdobeRGB instead of sRGB.

Nearly all my macro photo's are taken at F/16, manual focus and aim to get the eyes in focus, the rest usually then falls into place. But the attrition rate can be high, especially at 1:1 or greater with the wafer thin DOF.

I really like the bug shot too. It looks as though you got right down into its world.
