Lovely shots indeed. I guess I'd like to see a little more of the birds surroundings, but know that can be both difficult and can often bring in distractions at Zoos.

The parrot is a Greenwing Macaw. I know because I have one sitting 2 feet away from me His name is Bert

I also like the giraffes, very interesting view. The sharpness and framing of the zebras is great, but I'm not so keen on the OOF leaves eventhough I presume it's meant to convey a "sneak peek" at them.

The latest one is APO 100-300mm F4 EX DG HSM

Earlier versions would be APO 100-300mm F4 EX HSM - (non-DG, i.e. missing additional glass coatings for digital sensors))

However, none of them will have HSM for the Pentax mount as (so far) sigma haven't actually shipped any lenses with HSM (SDM in Pentax speak) for the Pentax mount. Some are on the way, but AFAIK they don't include the 100-300mm.

Pest. Some of them can decimate trees.

Fantastic shot!

Only one problem, they're not caterpillars (lepidoptera) as such, they're sawfly larvae. In particular, the larvae of Croesus septentrionalis. They typically feast on hazel and birch (that looks like birch to me).

Gorgeous. Are the first two HDR? I presume so as the saturation looks a little strong but know that that seems to be a part of what HDR does.

The right side of the house does seem to be leaning a little, though

I do like the composition, but there does seem to be some blur there. I can't see the EXIF data on it, but you might want to open it in PhotoME (or similar) and check the "SR Result" field. It could be that SR wasn't locked when you took the picture (you have to wait for the hand to appear in the VF).

I'll go back with some grey card and super-glue

Unfortunately, the picture isn't cropped so couldn't include any more in it. I would normally try and include the reflection but it's a prime lens, so would have had to walk back out of the hide

I like the way his feet are juuuust about to touch the water.

Here's one a bit later - together with little fishy, and a proper reflection
