I've posted the same questions on the competition as there seems to be no link between the forum and the competition anymore for some reason.

Also, how do I enter the competition if I don't want to upload a photo to this site for copyright reasons (i.e. keeping control of the images that I publish) and only want to link to a photo as before?

Can someone point me to the thread on the forum that announced this weeks competition as I cannot find it and wasn't aware the new one had started?

However, presumably you also benefit, directly and indirectly, from the community here. It will all be a lot friendlier if the community doesn't feel stomped all over.
Totally aware of that too Chris...and even if we are talking a handful of people rather than a "community", we still aim to get it right.
See - the insults and rudeness fly both ways

I give in. Clearly you know what's best for us. I'll go sit in the corner and be spoon-fed like a nice boy.

Possibly, or maybe one or two of mine. It's hard to say unless references are given to specific things said that someone feels insulted by.

I don't think anyone here is actually intending to be insulting. I think there's a difference between comments where people's frustration is clearly evident, and personal insults.
Well, they have certainly insulted me and been very rude indeed to me by removing functionality and implementing a solution without regard to the community that existed before they decided to muck it up.

The following argument you then make I couldn't agree more with. I find their attitude patronising and insulting.

If the change had been made by consensus then I wouldn't have minded so much. But to impose their ideas onto an established community, well I've said it - insulting.

I cannot see why they should be commended for fixing what they broke. And which they still haven't brought at least to the standard we previously had.

Please allow pictures of at least 800x600 pixels to be posted to any forum page, and viewed in full without having to click anything.

I will consider leaving the forum if this is not done.
AFAICT, you can. E.g:

You just can't use their gallery thing as they only allow tiny photo's for people with small monitors or magnifying glasses

You know the point I am making. Raising issues is one thing but just insulting people is something else.
I'm sorry, I really don't.

What insults are you referring to?
I would guess that John is referring to my comments

And it's still frankly ridiculous that I cannot edit a post I made a short while ago.

but John's met me on numerous occasions I'm not stroppy.
They have, but it was completely unnecessary.

Some one on here put theirs under the shower - I'm sure it would be fine

Sorry that I can't help with suggestions, though
