"Bootiful" as the man from London who tried to be from Norfolk said. Being a veggie I guess it`s bacteria poo for me! Anyone got their sprouts on yet? Don`t they just take weeks to cook to a pulp.

I really feel for you, I can understand the protective way of your Aunt but what is her concern based on? Being sensible with everything is wise and yes, there are those that want what we have but maybe the thought is more than the actual risk. I would say John`s buddy idea is great, also using a "Knocked about" bag is also a good idea too. Perhaps take the thought that if you don`t feel safe somewhere then don`t go there but I guess you would follow those thoughts anyway.

Your camera is nice, you will have hours of pleasure using it and tending to the results. Being part of this forum too will help you as well. We are I`m sure looking forward to some pix from you. Go out and enjoy making pictures and really enjoy yourself. Oh and don`t expect all your results to be as you intended. You will fiddle with settings and by trial and error gradually develop a style and end up with what you hope. Mostly.

John, you are so correct. With the passing of Patrick another book has to be written. I hope it will be written by Maggie Pocock or Heather Couper or maybe Brian Cox, although he was very unique I think Patrick's infectious delivery and enthusiasm will continue through those that he influenced.

RIP Patrick. Our world is poorer with your passing but richer from your knowledge.

Ken, the arm has an angled hole at the arm ends for "Water jet propulsion" If they are not blocked then perhaps the pump pressure is too low.

Having checked ours and cleaned by back-flushing both arms are fine. Did a wash last night and ended up with clean dishes. Result! Apart from a really knackered right knee and fingers on my left hand that got a bit bruised. So much for built in appliances...

I have both but number one choice is the K5. Like it`s already been said put a long lens on the K30 and it feels a bit out of balance. hang the same lens on a K5 and it feels just right. Image quality! job to put a fag paper between them. I guess for me it`s the K5 with the K30 as a second body but only because I could not justify two K5`s.

I have a K5 a K30 and formerly had a K10 and a K20. I also have an X5 as a take to work camera/point & shoot. It`s horses for courses and the image quality of the X5 is superb which includes using a high digital magnification too. Agreed it`s not got the quality of a Pentax DSLR but it is a very decent bit of kit especially for sub £200.

Tried all of those things thanks! Pumps out well and the outlet hose is nice and clean. Tried both spray arms for debris and all the holes are clear and the arms rotate well. It gets a degrease every month and as veggies it hardly gets any grease/oil through it..... maybe trying some different tablets (clutching at straws)might work.

Trouble here in the far East! Dishwasher is on the blink and despite having loving care, attention and cleaning it`s not cleaning very well....Fitted a new kneading blade in the bread maker. That separated into two pieces and failed to make a loaf worth eating..... Run out of Whiskey so it`s beer tonight. looking forward to work tomorrow.

Dave, I just attached my K30 with raw files and they opened fine with Silkypix Developer V3.0. As is sometimes the case why not try removing the programme and reinstalling.
