Thanks Ken, I really like the lightness coupled with the optical zoom. I just could not hang a DSLR with a say a 150 - 500 round my neck and still ride a bike.

The IQ of the X5 is well decent even if the operator is limited in choice of modes. My consideration was better to have a pic than not and it had to be Pentax.

If you take a look at my profile the last Stag is taken with an X5 the other Deer are with a K5. Compare and see.

I believe that the clock in Salisbury cathedral is the oldest in England. Could be worth trying to blag a trip to take a few pics of it. John`s absolutely right, check out the roofline and then down a little. Shopfronts are just a false facade. When Mr Smith or Messrs Marks and Spencer take on a building they generally only alter the street/eye level section. The upper sections are quite often as the builder intended.

I was in Ipswich hospital and it`s difficult to describe how awful it was. If daughter wasn`t a Doc I would think we get better despite hospitals, not because of them.

Had a week in hospital in January 2008. I swear that the sprouts were left over from Christmas. I can`t work out how so much mush can still retain shape but explode into goo once in the mouth. It confirmed everything I`d heard about hospital food being based on fact!
