I have a Tamron 28-300 and would not recommend it. Very loud sounds on focussing and image quality is not great. In fact i`m toying with either the Pentax 18-135 or 18-270.

I'm having a wee snifter for Gareth and Kim. Congrats both and enjoy life together.

I just bought a Transcend 16gb. Obviously uses a bit more energy but trying it out in a K30 was a good experience. Give their website a look, it`s not a bad site.

Only dead fish go with the flow. In my opinion, image quality, ergonomics and Pentax were the innovators.

Holidays are from work. this forum is for fun, especially after a small drink or two. Just refreshing after having our twin grandsons overnight. They are great little chaps, now getting into gardening so we had a tree planting session.

Wondering how this performs? I want to replace my Tamron 28 - 300 which I use as as a general "Walkabout lens."
