Congrats Algie! This isn`t the pointless thread though.

Well, that warmed up the subject! Still think Pentax lack behind in the market place. Maybe they will bring something to the table for the masses then with the revenue they could develop????? something for the few.

Had car insurance through Saga a few years back. Brilliant to start with and included £50.00 Marks & Spencer vouchers. Next year the quote doubled and when questioned was told it was still a fair price even at the new rate.

John, I am weighing up a CSC and it`s a shame in my opinion that Pentax have yet to compete on an even playing field with other makes. OK it`s a tiny bit of kit but there's the original Q, the Q10 so where is the next generation? The X5 has a tiltable screen and for the type of photography that it lends itself to it`s so useful. Actually, it`s essential I think.

I would like a Pentax but they are not encouraging me with their lack of what are becoming standard items. Confusion reigns but it looks like a Samsung with an Android system is pretty Kosha. Who knows?

Summer in the far East today - well +20 ish. Birds singing, sun shining and tea int conservatory. Just hoping on Euro millions

The Q7 still looks to be from the dark ages compared to other marques. In built wi fi,fold out screen, OLED for better bright light viewing. Maybe a touch screen. I would like one but it just doesn`t cut the mustard! too little tech and too much price. Come on Pentax, wake up to what others are doing with their CSC offerings.

Mick has died at the age of 66. I wonder how many he influenced with his knowledge to say nothing of his colourful jumpers. I wonder if there are any Pentax users into archaeology. RIP Mick Aston

Ha ha good on you Vic, glad it arrived by Parcelforce and not any of the other chuck it and go white van men or yellow van men or green van men or blue van men. My replacement Tom Tom was left out in the rain by a Herpes delivery person while we were on hols. But I digress

Thanks for the link Gary. Every little bit of info helps.

Crikey Vic, just you go steady there! All that excitement and Mrs Vic will have to E bay that K5iis.
