Had the twins today, grandad was told off (nothing unusual there then) took them to see Mrs Cedric`s Grandaughter, quite amazing to see the interaction of a 15 month old girl and a pair of 8 year old boys. Wicked seeing the boys playing with baby toys again. All 3 rolling about the floor without a care. Ah the innocence of young children.

The DA*300 is awsesome I had mine originally on a K10 and now use it on either a K5 or K30. I also use a 150-500 Sigma which I find perfectly acceptable on both too. I must say though that for wildlife the 150-500 has the extra distance which is most useful however it`s IQ is so much better at full stretch using a decent tripod. The K5 is a different creature to the K10 and the K5ii has I`m led to believe a better AF so if you are into wildlife or sport photography would be a good way to go.

I would have visited Chris but our twin grandsons are here for the day and one has had grommets removed from his ears today. Think it will be a Lego and Meccano day I`m afraid.

I have had an X5 for over a year now and have not experienced any form of lock up at all. Had a problem with my K5 locking up and unresponsive. Maybe wisdom rules and if you have the opportunity to return that would be a sensible solution for the long term. I`m saying this as removing/replacing the AA`s in the X5 is nowhere as fast as doing the battery in/out in the K5.

Had a lock up with K5 and Tamron 28 - 300. Removing the battery sorted it and it`s been fine since. I seem to remember (I think it was John Riley) that it could be a static electricity issue.

Hmmm, I thought the answer was 42 but I can`t remember the question either. Wish my brain was the size of a universe then I might have remembered.
