I followed this guys link you tube and converted mine. Watched it a couple of times before converting and wrote down every stage and it seemed easy enough.

I'm no tech expert but found it straightforward using my K5iis to modify the lens profiles to screwdrive for 16-50 (failed) 50-135 (never failed but wanted to see if screw drive was quicker and it seems to be) and 300 (again to see if screw drive was quicker).

Regards

The time has come to reduce the number of lenses I own.

For sale is my excellent condition Sigma 70-200 2.8 OS lens. This was the last version made in Pentax fit and I believe the best
one they made in Pentax mount. Far lighter (feels) and more compact than the pentax DFA version. Bought by me new from SRS.

The Lens mount has been updated by Sigma so no issues fitting to the K1. Reason for selling is lack of use (I have the Pentax DFA 70-200 and Nikon variants which
get used instead)

So rather than sit doing nothing, someone may as well use it.

Comes with all gubbings from new (includes the APS-C hood extension) and works as you'd expect.

Price £650 including postage, payment by bank transfer or cash on collection.

I've noticed the difference in screwdrive sound as well, using the 50-135 (converted to screwdrive). Far quieter on the K1 than my K5iis.

East coast? Is that where it is? Sorry carmagw I didn’t realise you had got up that early. Definitely worth it.
Didn't get up early, they are sunsets, the sun being to the far left and actually out of shot but reflecting the colours nicely. The position of the harbour allows you to look back towards the sunset. At Beadnell harbour you can actually get a sunset due to the shape of it and surrounding headland, for example, taken last year :

I do like the all but (to me) two have processing issues with regards to HDR. #9 overdoes the HDR unless you can cure the edge effect between the wall and the view where there is a halo round the arch and #6 suffers similarly but darkens the surround to the join instead. Sadly that's a common problem with some HDR programs and needs to be watched for. Editing each part of the image as a separate layer can sort that out. However the sunset in #8 is quite super.
Thanks for this I can see it on 9 which was quite heavily processed with such a difference between shadows and light areas but struggling to see it on 6. Even gone back to original and zoomed in and not able to see a halo, unless I'm overlooking the obvious. I did think there was a little halo on the Craster Harbour shot (4) but looking at the original it looks like the reflection of the light on the ripples changed just in front of the line of the harbour wall. All were processed in lightroom, not able to use layers on my version.

Thanks again for your comments.

I've been using the Spider Pro hand strap, not cheap but feels very secure when holding in hand.

Looks well attended for a practice day!

We're off to Knockhill on Friday, maybe next year you'll join us
It was busier than last year for a Friday, struggled to get a spot for BSB on the popular Hall corner sections. Ended up kneeling between togs, panning was a bit tricky ! The grandstand was chocker for the mountain as well when BSB were practicing. Enjoy Knockhill, looking forward to the 2 wheel shots !

Cheers

A belated thanks for the comments, been away last 2 weeks and forgot I'd posted this,

I took quite a few of the reflections as per 9. some came out better than others. If you watched the pit crews you could see when a car was coming in and fire off 2-3 shots as it came round the corner.

To clarify, most of the car shots were K1ii and Pentax 150-450. The pitwalk shots were with the
Sigma 100-300
