I have similar problems with mine but it seems to be worse.

The first few shots when using the K1ii are blank images if the camera has not been used earlier that day. Doesn’t matter which lens is attached. The shutter sound is not normal when this happens (seems a shorter noise as if mirror not lifting properly or staying up for the shot if that makes sense). On the verge of sending it in for repair but procrastination has got the better of me !

Tried cleaning contacts, batteries out etc but doesn’t make much difference. All of a sudden it starts working ok and is ok for the rest of the day it’s being used. Did wonder if it’s a similar issue to the k70 problems.

It was my first real day out with the k3iii, so still getting to grips with it. I should have spent more time looking at the manual and it may have speeded things up a bit, ie took a while to track down shake reduction to change to panning mode.

I’m happy to use AFC on the K3iii with group focus points for these type of shots whereas I would use AFS on my old K3 with single focus point so that is a big change for me.

I think with the K3iii the limiting factor on AF is the lens being used and it’s AF motor. Especially with things coming straight at you, will need to try it at a running event to see how it compares my d500.
