I have had surprisingly good results from Tesco. I think a 20 x 16 poster print which is actually printed on Fuji photo paper was less than £5. Takes a week to be delviered in a rolled tube, but quality was very good I must admit.

Some very true points there Ben...

Most professionals I have met in the music photography world very rarely discuss systems, they do however talk images a lot.

Discussing so & so photographer's work & how they made that image are the usual sort of conversation I have had, which has also helped my photography improve immensely.

It seems to only be in the amateur world that brand arguments abound. I am also amazed at the amount of amateur photographers having spent a small fortune on gear then refuse to take it outside of their home for fear of theft, damage or breakage in bad weather. What is the point of buying all that gear?????

I like the one with the A4 printer on his front, reminiscent of the ice cream seller at the cinema.

I wouldn't do any photography for mates rates, did a wedding for a friend last year, 2 weeks notice all day from bride preparation to night do. Did it as a gift as they where skint.

They rent out bouncy castles, asked them a few months ago if I could borrow one & they wanted to charge me £50 for the day, I reminded them about the wedding photography & as they pointed out that was a gift!!!

Told them where to stick their bouncy castle & now no longer do mates rates.

If you want to do it as a favour then do the shoot for free, upload the images to photobox pro where they can then print of the prints or make a book in their own time & pay for it whilst you get a nice commission.

Works for me & you maintain the freebie for a friend, whilst they feel theyare paying to get the actual product without realising you are on the make, everyones happy.

Just out of curiosity, do you have a grip??? I noticed an improvement in focussing speed when I attached a grip to my GX20 particularly the 50-135, locking on speed was certainly more accurate too with the grip attached.

I was very disappointed with the focussing speed before I got the grip, maybe it sends more power to the motor??

Thanks for the feedback people, really appreciate your time.

I really wanted the portfolio to be as simple as possible with the images doing all the talking, rather than explain who the artists are or where they where photographed.

Now I have sorted that out I now need to figure out how to include it into a frame so it fits the rest of the site layout. Definately need to sort out the front page, over time it has become very long & is now really a duplicate of the published page. Will have to have a think & maybe just have my latest gig photo on the index page???

Hi Lilly thanks for feedback, I need to change my front page, hence the lack of updates for a whilst. I have been mainly focussing on my portfolio page as I have not updated it for over a year now ouch!!!!
