Giving this a bump I am no longer shooting arena shows so no longer have a need for this beautiful piece of glass.

Many of the images in this article where shot using this lens from the very top tier of Leeds First Direct Arena showing how capable it is.

I like these, I can only add I think the first two need the shadows lifting a touch and the hands shot needs a little boost in exposure.

Good work

Lightroom 6 is a physical media purchase item of approx £90 iirc Lightroom CC comes with Photoshop CC for £8 per month. Lightroom 6 does not feature new tools like dehaze which came out after lightroom 6.

D810 = 5fps (rounded up) 0.06 sec/frame quicker

Will it really make a difference in real life, I suspect not !!
Both those cameras are over two years old the d610 is the same as the previous d600 which was around 18 months old at the time so essentially over three year old technology.

It seems odd that whilst the majority of full frame cameras are 24 megapixel or less to take advantage of current camera processor speeds Pentax has decided to go 36 megapixel whilst their top line crop sensor offers 8fps 4.4 is just such a backward step. From 4.4 to my current cameras 7.5 fps is too much of backwards step for me and Pentax has really dropped the ball here as an upgrade path.

There is also the need to upgrade memory cards again and I have yet to see any mention of a U3 spec SDXC slot all those megapixels would mean me having to upgrade to 128 gb cards from 64gb cards which is another extra £100ish for the fast cards required to shove those megapixels around.

I don't want to sound negative it really is an awesome specced camera but for full frame it's not really an option for me and I suspect many others looking to upgrade.

I'm actually delighted it's 36.4MP. Files of 50MP are very tedious, putting huge demands on the computer. It's not only space, but can mean some users would need to upgrade their PCs.
I'm guessing Cabstar wanted something more like the Nikon D750's 25MP sensor (which should mean less strain on the buffer and a faster fps)
Yes I have no need for 36 megapixels 24 does me fine whether for press or wedding work, but 4.4fps is just, well archaic really and the hard drive space and processing needed is just a PITA to be honest. And for those saying use it in crop mode why just why even bother buying a full frame to do that?

It looks a really good camera it's just not for me at this point in time...

Disappointed they went with the 36 megapixel sensor which has slowed it down to 4.4 fps. Oh well will wait for the next one to come out....

Correct, no one has a right to privacy in public areas, however there are legal restrictions on what you can then do with the images for example you couldn't use them to promote a product without a model release. You also couldn't use them to show the subject in a bad light, you can however use them for an editorial piece in the newspaper so if they where watching an incident in the street then they couldn't complain if they then appeared in the local paper. For photos taken in private venues for example in the crowd at a football match it is usually a condition of entry that you give permission to be filmed or photographed which is printed on the ticket.

You can't photograph people on private property from a public place either without permission of that person.

Usual caveats I am not a lawyer etc and this is not legal advice, just guidance I followed as a press photographer
