,.. the 28 lives! It just needed a philips size 0 - not *that* small....

looks pretty good from here. Liveview and 10x magnification are made for this kind of thing. Very nice.

I'll test it again over the next few days and make sure it's good for the trip on Wednesday over to Tallinn. Need to work out where everything's going in the Rucksack - I'll pinch the inlay from the passport sling and then the K5 and 24-70 and 50 are safe; the 100-300 will go in its pouch and that leaves just teh 28 and the 135. One will go in the Lens case 1 I have and the other? don't know

Monopod goes in the ice-axe position on the outside... should have everything I need.

Hippos? Like monsters of the nile?

Screwdrivers: Have a set of 000, 00, 0, 1 philips and 0 and 1 pozi. Let's see if that's enough. At least they weren't *massively* expensive...

I've seen mine freeze a couple of times when using USB connections and PKTether. Apart from that, nothing. And a battery removal has fixed those.

Indeed, I'm sure he was
I'll take a look and see just how good I can get this... I think I'm going to try using a clock tower that's around 800m away from the balcony over the yard - and LV with zoom seems tailor-made for this

Off out at lunchtime to see if I can find some screwdrivers... Wiha, preferably. Any suggestions on sizes? 00, 000?

well, the ring is off my 28, so now I need some real screwdrivers....

off into town tomorrow to go take a look, and then with a bit of luck I can take the 28, 50, 135, 24-70 and 100-300 to Tallinn next week.

I'm beginning to think I ought to sell the K10, though; it's hardly being used

you mean like this? http://adeona.cs.washington.edu/

however, there's a problem: it requires a complete infrastructure and they cost money.....

how fast is it? the micromates are around 10-15MB/s which is unacceptable and I'm looking for something which gives me teh same rates as my extreme reader, i.e. 25+.

(builtin reader in the E6400 also only does 10MB/s, bah)

I think you'll find that lightroom is adjusting *into* the plus range. Try two shots, one at 0, one at -1.5 (maybe another at +0.5 just for the hell of it) and see how lightroom reacts.
