no, the cards make a large difference. Are you writing RAW+ or just RAW?

Slightly off topic but I was in the main square in Helsinki on Friday 12th August and a film crew was filming lots of young guys in Ice Hockey gear, any idea what that was all about? - I was going to PM you but whilst we're conversing

It doesn't necessarily say you give permission, it's possible you agree to it in the depths of the Terms and conditions or licence agreement. It would surprise me very much if there's no simple way to identify your key and your computer.

a) the difference between big JPGs and small ones in RAW+
b) the difference between an extreme III and an ultra II in writing (nearly 30 seconds difference for 30 pictures!)
Moral? I'll stick with fast cards. Large, slow ones are fine for video but not much else, especially if you want to review quickly.

- machinegun until full, then 5 shots
U II takes 52 seconds until buffer empty. Shots complete at 14 secs
Extreme takes 28 seconds until buffer empty. Shots complete at 12 secs
Changing the JPGs to 2MP *, I get the shots complete at 6 seconds (!!!).
K5, 28/3.5.

buffer takes 24 shots, then slows to 2 shots / sec on the 30MB/s.
The U II:
23 shots in the buffer, 1 per sec after, 38 seconds to empty.
These are all RAW+JPG, mind (atm, I think it's also 16MP **** JPGs, too).
