We have had some marvelous weather here in Norway the last weeks, and some beautiful summer nights. I have started to feel the urge to go out with my camera again, after a period with low photographic activity. So here are some sunset snap shots from the last few days.

Thanks John!

I know that the K35mm f3.5 is a very good/superb landscape lens, maybe much in the same manner as the K28mm f3.5 (which is my favourite legacy prime). But what about the M35mm f2? At about f8 it is sharp from centre to border, and is quite useful for landscape. For distant motives/infinity at f2 it is sharp in the centre, but not so sharp in the corners. For close objects/portraits f2 gives good results with a pleasing bokeh.

When this lens was made, was it meant to be an all-rounder, a portrait/interior lens, or maybe something else?

I recently acquired this lens, mostly because I do not have any primes at 35mm. I wonder if somebody could tell me something about this lens? For instance, what kind of usage is this lens meant for? If I decide to sell the lens, how much do these lenses go for?

Lovely shots! The close-up portrait (no 1) and the less than stellar piece of furniture are my favourites. Are these all really taken @f1.2?

bjolester, congrats on joining the 1.2 club - You won't regret it. Try it on some street scenes @ 1.2 too when you get chance. not easy to focus, but when you nail it, it's great
Thanks! Obviously this lens has its strongest selling point being f1.2. But based on my initial shooting today, the lens is also superb for landscapes, stopped down a bit. Shots taken at f5.6 and f8 are razor sharp, and also have the most wonderful color tones. I love it already

My new toy arrived today Luckily the lens was in super condition, it looks as if it came straight from the Pentax factory. Although 450 Euro was maybe a bit high, this lens is worth it. Here in Norway the A50mm f1.2 is quite rare, and command even higher prices than what I paid.

My first test of the lens, wide open and no PP apart from slight exposure adjustment:

I have a supply of 120 film stored in my fridge (+3-5 celsius), mostly Kodak Porta but also some Illford. Unfortunately many of the films expire in June/July 2013. How long past the date of expiry can the films be used?
