I just installed the standalone version of my Noise Ninja s/w as an external editor to be used with Lightroom 2.5. Works well and makes Elements 6 which is also linked as an external editor with Lightroom almost redundant. Methodolgy at www.picturecode.com

I've used a Bigma for photos from the comfort of the stand at a football (Aussie Rules) match and from the boundary fence. Zoom range is excellent. But definitely use a monopod!!!

I bought a very cheap Super Tak 200mm F4. Looked in good condition but had "fungus". Lens arrived with spots on the outer rear and inside front. Both were easily cleaned (perhaps fly specks??). Don't know how a fly would get inside the lens?
Fabulous lens now!

The 35-70 is rubbish. I use mine to park on a camera body. I remember it being fine on a film camera, but no luck on my digital pentax's. The 55mm F1.8 is excellent.

Yours is the EX version, better than any red band versions. Also the 82mm filter size is important to differentiate from other similar models. I think yours is a top lens, same as I tried when buying a similar but 28-70 EX model with 77mm filter size which is my favourite studio lens. Your lens should be very sharp.

Mine is a K mount lens standard with the Pentax KM. Post Spotmatic.

I have had one since new:
Wide open to make cage invisible:

As a "portrait" lens:

A great lens I think

If your budget is limited, put a number of your favourite photos on a memory stick or similar and visit computer store(s), sit down, take your time and tryout a number of monitors until you find one with acceptable colours.

Yes of course. I missed the fact that that the collection is just "Pentax-M" as compared to the manual K mount lenses. I stand corrected!
cheers
