Hi OC_P
Like No 1. No 3 doesn't look very sharp.

No2 cries out for transformation to remove skew and level adjustments to brighten buildings in shadow and darken blown clouds. Takes 2 minutes or less in PSE.
cheers

I bought a very similar lens which was superceded by your version. Mine is 28-70 EX F2.8 but 77mm filtersize . It was much cheaper at that time. I did compare the 24-70 and it was very good, better than the 28-70. Both lenses look identical. I bought the 28-70 and it is my preferred everyday lens. I'm sure anyone would be delighted with your 24-70, esp at ypur price. good luck

The Sigma 50-500 EX "Bigma" has a top reputation. I'm very impressed by mine.

I think PSE v6 can do what Matt is suggesting:
"Set up color management
In the Editor, choose Edit > Color Settings.
Select one of the following color management options, then click OK.
No Color Management Leaves your image untagged. This option uses your monitor profile as the working space. It removes any embedded profiles when opening images, and does not tag when saving.

Always Optimize Colors For Computer Screens Uses sRGB as the RGB working space; the Grayscale working space is Gray Gamma 2.2. Preserves embedded profiles, and assigns sRGB when opening untagged files.

Always Optimize For Printing Uses Adobe RGB as the RGB working space; the Grayscale working space is Dot Gain 20%. Preserves embedded profiles and assigns Adobe RGB when opening untagged files.

Allow Me To Choose Lets you choose sRGB (the default) or Adobe RGB when opening untagged files.

When you save a file, select ICC Profile in the Save As dialog box. "

Hi Gartmore
If you think of built in flash as a "wireless controller", it suddenly commands much more respect.
I use K20D and Sigma EF 530 Super. A great combo.

Before spending any money you might like to post some examples of the softness that you're seeing. People with more experience of that camera / lens combination will soon be able to tell if the failing is of equipment or technique; if it's the latter then you'll have saved a few quid and hopefully picked up some suggestions on how to improve your photos - throwing money at it isn't always the best answer...
Hi Missmarple. I agree with above comments. Only had a quick glance at your photos, but you need to concentrate on photo composition and focus/depth of field. There is nothing wrong with kit lens for starters. Learn to take great photos with it and you will gradually realize what other lens will suit your particular interest.
good luck

I think the red in the b/g is fine. It confirms what the photo subject is!

"Hi Everyone,

I have a question. I got K20D and Sigma EF500 super flashgun which I was using with my K100D off-camera by attaching them with 2 hotshoes and cable. K20D works the same way.

Now that I got K20D though I want to use the commander mode of onboard flash to trigger sigma EF500 super off-camera wirelessly. According to sigma manual this is possible.

1. I set flash to C0 SL ( channel 1 slave mode) with wireless symbol.
2. Turn off Flash and place it on camera.
3. Turn both camera and flash on. press shutter half way
4. Turn off Flash and Camera, Take flash off the camera. Turn them on.
5. Pop onboard flash up (it is already in commander mode and set to wireless mode)
6. Take a shot at 1/125 at any aperture. Flash at full power. "

Hi
You should set K20D to wireless flash and Sigma to C1 SL. See page 18 of manual. Works a treat. No Cable or third party trigger required.
